Who needs to apply for the Exit permits for Marine Vessels
The Ministry of Ports and Marine Affairs announced the regulation for all marine vessels and their equipment, whether they are registered or not, which intend to leave the territorial waters of the State of Dubai that must obtain the necessary exit permits from the competent authorities with also complying with the other applicable laws and regulations.
Therefore every shipmaster and the owner of every marine vessel shall apply for the exit permit from the competent authorities at the competent ports, by the procedures and conditions that are provided by the Federal Law on the Regulation of the Navigation and the Marine Transport in the Emirate of Dubai, and its executive regulations and amendments.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has issued a circular, to inform marine vessels that are leaving the territorial waters of the UAE that are required to obtain an exit permit from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners' Affairs in the Dubai Police, before their departure.
Even the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, Abu Dhabi announced the regulation in 2017.
